The New York State Police are investigating two related burglary incidents that occurred in Essex County on September 21, 2025, both involving the same group of suspects and the same victim.

The investigation began on September 17, 2025, when Patrol Deputies were called to the facility for a reported assault. United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, announced today that TERRY BROOKS was sentenced to 10 years in prison for illegally possessing ammunition in connection with a November 12, 2023, shooting in which BROOKS shot an innocent bystander in the Bronx, New York.  BROOKS’s sentence was imposed by U.S. District Judge Margaret M. Garnett, who also presided over the guilty plea.
