QUEENSBURY, N.Y. — A serious overnight crash involving a tractor trailer has closed a stretch of the Northway in Warren County and is expected to cause delays through the morning commute, New York State Police reported.
Troopers were called to the scene around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, after a tractor trailer traveling southbound on I-87 between Exits 20 and 19 lost control and rolled over. A second vehicle then struck the overturned truck.
One of the drivers was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. State Police have not released additional details about the extent of the injuries.
The southbound lanes of I-87 are currently closed at Exit 20, with traffic being detoured off the highway. Authorities say the closure is expected to last through the morning commute as crews work to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
Motorists traveling in the area should expect significant delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
