A preliminary investigation determined that a 2023 Ford Ranger was traveling westbound on State Route 206 through a posted active work zone. The operator, Kenneth J. Alberts, age 59, of McGraw, failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck a survey worker who was conducting testing outside of his vehicle on a closed portion of the roadway.
