The New Hartford Police Department has arrested three individuals following an investigation into multiple retail larcenies that occurred at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store located at 4699 Middle Settlement Road.

This evening at approximately 8:15pm New Hartford Police responded to a 911 call reporting a gun shot being fired and an injured person in the public parking lot area of The Town of New Hartford Municipal Offices located on Clinton St.

Pair faces additional charges after second incident uncovered. Frank Gonzalez-Guzman, 31, of Utica, and Edinson Salcedo-Rivas, 25, also of Utica, have been additionally charged in connection with the theft of oil from a second business located in the Town of New Hartford.

On April 6, 2026, State Police of Wilton arrested Tiffany L. Cary, 39, of Queensbury and Stanley L. Whitted,63, of Lake George, each for Assault 2nd, a class “D” felony. 

On April 3, 2026, at approximately 10:57 p.m., a Oneida County Sheriff’s Office DWI Patrol deputy was traveling on State Route 840 when several vehicle and traffic violations were observed on a 2015 Dodge Ram traveling in a southeasterly direction. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Hannah Coffin, 26, of Poland, New York.

An investigation at the scene revealed that a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling west at an unsafe speed while on State Highway 23 in the town of Oneonta when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a house.

The New York State Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred on March 31, 2026, at approximately 8:29 p.m. in the Village of Ellenville.
