State Police seek public assistance in hit-and-run investigation in the town of Marshall

The New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Friday, April 24, 2026, in the town of Marshall.

On April 24, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., State Police were dispatched to 2786 State Route 12B for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle that struck a building. 

An investigation determined that a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling southbound on State Route 12B when the driver left the roadway and struck two mailboxes and a residential porch located just east of the roadway.

The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and continued southbound, leaving the scene of the accident.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2014–2016 silver crew-cab Chevrolet Silverado and may have significant front-end damage and a missing taillight as a result of the crash. 

State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, observed the vehicle in the area, or has information regarding a Chevrolet Silverado matching this description, particularly one that may have been recently brought to a repair facility, to contact the New York State Police in Oneida at (315) 366-6000.
