PHOENIX, AZ — Nearly 95,000 people filled State Farm Stadium and an overflow arena outside Phoenix today for the public memorial service of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, who was assassinated earlier this month.

The massive crowd gathered in solemn remembrance of Kirk, 31, who was killed on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Tyler Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder and additional counts in connection with the shooting.

The memorial program, which began with prayer and worship, drew some of the most prominent figures in conservative politics. Former President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk—who has been named CEO of Turning Point USA following her husband’s death—are all scheduled to deliver remarks.

Early speakers painted Kirk as more than a political leader. Colleagues and friends remembered him as a passionate employer, a devoted husband, and a proud father. The tributes leaned heavily into Christian themes, reflecting the deep faith that guided Kirk’s work and resonated with his supporters.

The size of the gathering underscored Kirk’s national influence, particularly among young conservatives. Attendees waved American flags, held banners with Bible verses, and sang hymns as the service unfolded.

“Charlie gave his life to wake up America’s youth and bring people back to God,” one speaker said, drawing loud applause.

The memorial comes just 11 days after the tragedy stunned the conservative movement. Turning Point USA staff and volunteers, many wearing the organization’s signature gear, joined in honoring their late leader while pledging to continue his mission under Erika Kirk’s leadership.

The program is expected to continue into the evening, with music, testimonies, and speeches celebrating Kirk’s legacy and faith.
