Troopers out of SP Lockport responded to Beattie Ave in the town of Lockport for a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Investigation determined that a 2004 Ford Explorer was traveling south bound on Beattie Ave.

The preliminary investigation indicated that nearby residents observed a body in the Plattekill Creek and contacted first responders. The Mount Marion Fire Department retrieved the body from the water. The victim was later identified as Stanley Christopher Waldron, age 58, of Saugerties, NY, who exhibited obvious signs of death and was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no signs of foul play.
